With Friends Like This…

…who needs to ever leave the house?

I mean, really. I am in touch with my bloggy friends more than I am with my face to face friends. So, I am flattered to have made Killlashandra’s list for this award. I am affirmed in my devotion to the blogosphere.

Daily Dose Award

Xandra started the Daily Dose to celebrate sticking to blogging. As she says,

I’m calling it The Daily Dose award, and it goes to the blogs that I must read every day without fail. Seriously, I might as well mainline new posts…it’s that addictive. I feel acute disappointment when I go to my favorite blogs and find old posts (no pressure here, girls!).

So here’s to all the blogs that you’ve discovered that you can’t possibly live without. They make you laugh, cry, think and feel connected every time you read a post. They give you a thrill as you see them loading into your browser and you get an equally satisfying thrill when you see that they have commented on your blog.

I need regular doses of so many wonderful blogs. Check my blogroll. You don’t even want to know how many more I have in my rss reader. But in particular (and in no specific order), I look forward to seeing what’s new in Stacy’s Land of K.A. Sometimes, as I’m driving to work, I wonder how Kim is doing at the BitterBall. Pinky who has Cheese in [her] Shoe is often in my thoughts when I’m away from my computer. I love Zen Mama’s take on things at the Zen of Motherhood. Dang, she’s funny! Sincerely Anna is a local friend who I’ve gotten to know better online in 6 months than 5 years in person. And there’s just something about Lemonade at the Lemon Stand that hits the spot.

I’m going to stop there. Only because I’m tired of linking. You stat checkers know how often I lurk about your blogs :D

  1. Well thank you! You are so sweet. :D I was glad to have found you via Melody. I know that most of my blog friends know more about me than my friends here…even though they know I have a blog they don’t visit it. That makes me a little sad, but I think I get plenty of love from other nice ladies, such as yourself, in blogland. :)

  2. Ha! We should have started blogging years ago! Thanks for introducing me to some new bloggers. Have a great weekend!

  3. Thanks for linking on my blog! I am in a blog reading frenzy with all of the new places I’ve found to visit….

  4. Wow. I am totally stoked that I’m part of your daily dose! Too cool! I still can’t believe anybody wants to read my minutia! You’re awesome, Jenny. Thanks so much for this.

  5. I’m with Pinky. It always amazes me to discover someone actually wants to read my ‘therapy log’. :) Thank you for including me and introducing some new links. I SOOOOO wish I had more time on a computer!

  6. Hey, thanks! I’m totally flattered that I made your list!

  7. Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for commenting on my blog. Regarding your question about unschooling. I believe, as do many unschoolers, that learning occurs naturally, in things we do daily in our lives. We do not attend school, nor use curriculum. There is lots of literature and web based information about it. I’ll be posting some links on my new blog address soon (there are some on my prior blog, if you’d like to check them out) Here is one you might like to read by Dana Martin, who was recently on Phil Donahue, http://unschoolingamerica.com/, I also love to read Sandra Dodd’s website on radical unschooling (which we tend fall under) and several unschooling discussion groups. http://sandradodd.com/unschooling. Hope that answers your questions! Mandy

  8. Your welcome Jenny. :) I like your blog and feel we’ve got a few things here and there in common that I enjoy reading and sharing about.

  9. Wow! Thanks! The funny thing is… you are one of my daily reads and yet I didn’t read this until 3 days after you posted it. (shame on me). I have been trying to devote more time to gettin up out of my chair and off the computer. It won’t last though!
