What’s My Name? (A Giveaway)

Okay, dear bloggy friends, I have a question for you; What’s my name? More accurately, what should my name be? For blogging and leaving comments, that is.

My name is Jenny, as you already know, but there are hundreds of Jen’s and Jenny’s. So I’ve been using “Jenny Live & in Color” when I leave a comment. Well, that’s getting to be a pain to type out every time because it’s so long. I want you to immediately know who I am when I leave you a comment, but I can’t think of a good nick-name.

So, what do you think?
Should I continue to type out my usual title? If so, any tricks to adding it more quickly? I copy my URL so I don’t have to type that every time, but as far as I know, I can only have one thing waiting to paste at time. If I’m wrong about that, please enlighten me.

Should I come up with a nick-name? I’ve used JenLive and JennyLive in a couple of places. Do you like one of those? Any other ideas? Something colorful? What do you think of when you think of me? (Be nice ;) )

Should I just use “Jenny” and let you figure out that it’s me?

Any tips, tricks and short-cuts would be appreciated. So much so, that I will even buy one of you a cup of coffee! Leave your suggestions in the comments and I will randomly pick one to win a $5 gift card to Starbuck’s or Seattle’s Best (whichever you prefer).

    ok, i do Heather @ Desperately Seeking Sanity and that’s long, however, most places it’s already filled in…. and if it’s not, I have that feature in firefox that saves what you’ve entered in to the fields so I just type H and it comes up….

    I say stick with whatcha got, because selfishly? If you change it? I’ll have to learn another name! :D

I am Dapoppins becasue years ago I typed my name and Mary Poppins into a generator and got Dapoppins. I thought it was cute and funny and sounded great…and kept it in various forms until the day it became my blog title. I know a great writing website with name generators…you might create one there.

    I’d know it was you if you just put Jen. Of course I have about 3 people that read my blog, so it’s easy to distinguish. One of the other two is JenE though. I would think that odd if it weren’t for the fact that way back in the day when I was in high school every other girl in class was named Jenny.

    I like everyone’s suggestions! But another tip, if you use Firefox - I have an add-on called ‘Clippings’ where you can store any number of phrases that you use a lot and can paste them into any field online with just a quick right mouse click… :)

    Hmmmm….I guess that’s why I picked the name of a fictional character for a nickname.

    I’m not sure what to suggest, I would have to agree with some of the comments about thinking of something reflective of you. Or maybe a nickname you had when you were younger and possibly forgot about.

    I have a funny one, for a very short period of time my Mom used to call me Beezee. No idea why, she just thought it was cute. ;)

    J:L is a pretty good suggestion though. Along that vein >JL< might work too.
