About Me
I really dislike doing the ‘about’ section. But I love to read about others, so it’s only fair to tell you about myself.
I’m Jenny. Used to be Jenny Karas….cz from Wyoming, Michigan (a suburb of Grand Rapids). I usually went by Jenny K. Now I’m Jenny Y. Y for Yenc…elli. Nope, I couldn’t find a Smith or Jones that would have me.
I married the Navy when I walked down the aisle to wed Mr. (a surfer originally from New Jersey). It’s been a turbulent 12 years. Fourteen, if you count the courtship that was mostly long-distance. We continue to weather the storms, growing stronger with each wave. I look forward to retirement from the military in 4 years. I already have a Realtor sending me listings from the lake shore of West Michigan.
I have three beautiful daughters, ages 4, 7 and 9. I stay home full-time, but I don’t homeschool.
Parenting turned out to be a much tougher job than I ever dared imagine. Yet, the love and pride I feel, being their Mommy, is indescribable.
I have three dogs. A 12 year old boonie dog (mixed breed from Guam), a 2 year old Yorkshire Terrier, and a 1 year old Dachshund.
I do taxes seasonally, part-time. It’s like a vacation for me. I absolutely love it.
In my spare (ha ha) time, I like to read, do math puzzles, cross-stitch, make cards & jewelry (very amateur) or mess around on my laptop. Then I veg in front of the TV.
I also love the theatre. Shakespeare, Broadway, ballet, even high school performances. If it’s on stage, I will probably like it.
I experience chronic lower back pain and battle with depression.
That’s probably TMI, but I was on a roll.

Sounds like you’re a pretty interesting person!
Thanks for visiting our blog and for adding us on your blogroll! What an honor! I hope something that’s said will help you.
As a side note, one of my good friends is in the Navy. He just got back from a tour off the coast of Iran on the USS Eisenhower. I love and respect all our military and their family.
God bless!

And I don’t have nearly the great excuse that you do with the military and all. I’ll stop by to see how you are doing - you’re definitely a must read for me. Thanks for posting & introducing yourself. I’m glad to meet you.
